Ingredients
  

  • 12 count fresh strawberries About 1 lb
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil Optional for smoothness
  • to taste sprinkles, nuts, or sea salt Optional for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Wash the strawberries gently and pat them dry with a paper towel to ensure they are completely dry.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using).
  • Microwave the chocolate mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until completely melted and smooth, about 1 to 1.5 minutes.
  • Hold each strawberry by the stem, dip it into the chocolate, and swirl to coat, leaving the top two-thirds covered. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Place the dipped strawberry onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat for all strawberries.
  • Sprinkle any desired toppings such as sprinkles, nuts, or sea salt over the chocolate before it sets.
  • Allow the dipped strawberries to cool at room temperature or refrigerate for about 15 minutes to let the chocolate harden.

Notes

For a different flavor, you can use white chocolate or dark chocolate.
