  • 4 Glasses margarita glasses or any preferred glass
  • 1 Citrus juicer optional

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz fresh cranberry juice
  • 4 oz tequila
  • 2 oz triple sec
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup Adjust for sweetness.
  • ice cubes
  • lime wedges For garnish.
  • fresh cranberries For garnish, optional.
  • coarse salt or sugar For rimming glasses, optional.

Instructions
 

  • If desired, rim the glasses with lime juice and dip them in coarse salt or sugar to coat the edges. Set aside.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the cranberry juice, tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15-20 seconds, until chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses filled with ice.
  • Garnish with lime wedges and fresh cranberries, if using.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your cranberry margaritas!

Notes

Adjust the simple syrup for personal taste; if you prefer a less sweet drink, use less syrup or skip it altogether.
You can prepare simple syrup by dissolving equal parts sugar and water over low heat until the sugar is fully dissolved, then let it cool.
For a frozen version, blend all ingredients with ice until smooth, then pour into the prepared glasses.
