Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 large orange, peeled and segmented
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped Can substitute walnuts if desired.
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey For extra sweetness, consider adding a tablespoon of maple syrup.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • to taste salt

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water and remove any stems or damaged berries. Drain well.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cranberries, orange segments, chopped pecans, and finely chopped red onion.
  • In a separate small bowl, whisk together honey, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth to create the dressing.
  • Pour the dressing over the cranberry mixture and toss gently to coat all the ingredients.
  • Let the salad sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the salad in a salad serving dish and enjoy!

Notes

You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
