Ingredients
  

  • 1 package raspberry Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce 14 oz can
  • 1 cup chopped apples About 2 medium apples
  • 1 cup chopped celery About 2 stalks
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 cup whipped topping Optional

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, dissolve the raspberry Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir well until completely dissolved.
  • Add the can of whole berry cranberry sauce to the dissolved Jello and mix well until smooth.
  • Stir in the chopped apples, chopped celery, and chopped walnuts or pecans until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch glass dish or salad mold. Cover with plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the salad is set firm.
  • Once set, slice or scoop into serving portions. If desired, top each serving with a dollop of whipped topping before serving.

Notes

You can substitute the raspberry Jello with any preferred flavor such as cherry or cranberry.
For added sweetness, you can include mini marshmallows in the salad mixture.
If you're making this salad a day in advance, it will keep well in the refrigerator.
