In a mixing bowl, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove it from heat.
Add the Jello mix and unflavored gelatin to the hot water. Whisk until completely dissolved.
Stir in 1 cup of cold water. If you want to add extra sweetness, mix in the sugar until dissolved.
If you want to use food coloring, add a few drops now to enhance the color of your Jello mixture.
Lightly spray the inside of plastic egg molds or small cups with non-stick cooking spray.
Carefully pour the Jello mixture into the egg molds or cups, filling each one about three-quarters full.
If using an egg carton, place the filled molds inside to keep them upright.
Place the molds in the refrigerator and allow them to set for at least 2 hours or until fully firm.
Once set, gently remove the Jello eggs from the molds by squeezing them slightly or running a knife around the edges.
Display the Jello Easter Eggs on a decorative plate or use as part of an Easter egg hunt.
