Ingredients
  

  • 4 ounces fresh brewed espresso Cooled
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur Like KahlĂșa
  • 1 ounce peppermint schnapps
  • Ice cubes ice cubes
  • fresh mint leaves For garnish
  • chocolate shavings or cocoa powder For garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • Brew 4 ounces of fresh espresso and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the cooled espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur, and peppermint schnapps.
  • Fill the shaker with ice cubes, then secure the lid tightly.
  • Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients well.
  • Strain the mixture into two chilled martini glasses using a fine mesh strainer, if desired.
  • Garnish each drink with fresh mint leaves and optionally with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a non-alcoholic variation, replace vodka and schnapps with additional espresso and chocolate syrup.
Experiment with the amount of peppermint schnapps to adjust the mint flavor to your liking.
