Equipment

  • 1 muffin tin
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 skillet
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 baking brush (optional)
  • 1 cooking spray or oil

Ingredients

  • 12 pieces wonton wrappers
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or brush with oil.
  • Gently press each wonton wrapper into the muffin tin cups, forming a little cup shape. Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes or until lightly browned.

  • Add the ground sausage to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the diced bell pepper, green onions, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper to the sausage. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  • Remove the wonton cups from the oven. Spoon the sausage mixture into each wonton cup.
  • Top each filled cup with shredded cheese.
  • Return the muffin tin to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Allow the cups to cool slightly before serving.
