Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 12 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream optional
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the salsa, taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 6 hours.
  • After the cooking time is complete, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the sauce in the slow cooker.
  • Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing the shredded chicken mixture on each tortilla.
  • Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and cilantro as desired.
  • Serve the tacos immediately and enjoy!
