In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat. If using a skillet, add olive oil to prevent sticking.
Cook the turkey patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) using a meat thermometer.
Allow the patties to rest for a few minutes before assembling your burgers.
Toast the hamburger buns if desired. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, and any other toppings you prefer.
For added moisture, mix in some chopped onions or bell peppers during the initial mixing step.
