Equipment

  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper or non-stick spray
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 baking thermometer (optional)
  • 1 skillet (optional, for sautéing)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • ¼ cup marinara sauce for serving, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with non-stick spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, diced onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Gently mix all the ingredients until well combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs about 1-1.5 inches in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Optionally, pan-sear the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side for added browning before transferring them to the oven.
  • Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve with marinara sauce on top or on the side, if desired.

Notes

You can customize these meatballs by adding chopped vegetables, such as bell peppers or zucchini, into the mixture.
If you prefer a different flavor profile, feel free to substitute the Italian seasoning with other herbs or spices that you enjoy.
Leftover meatballs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Just reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
